MATRA PANTURA: Dialog Perubahan Iklim di Batas Pesisir by EIGER Films EIGER ADVENTURE bekolaborasi dengan Yayasan Wanadri untuk melakukan penanaman bibit mangrove di Desa Mayangan, Subang. Kami belajar lagi landskap tropis dengan melihat bencana iklim di kawasan mangrove. Bahwa abrasi di Pantai Utara terjadi bukan saja karena berkurangnya kawasan mangrove. Kami berkenalanan dengan tokoh lokal Abah Ncay yang melopori konservasi mangrove disana sekaligus bertemu dengan kelompok pemuda penerusnya. Siaga Pantai Utara (SIPUT) merupakan kelompok pemuda lokal yang melakukan patroli di kawasan mangrove di Desa Mayangan. Film Matra Pantura berusaha menangkap cerita para inspirator lokal ini. Dan harapannya bisa memicu dialog dan kolaborasi lanjutan merespon bencana iklim di Pantai Utara. Decades ago, fireflies were a common sight across South-East Asia. But now they are rapidly disappearing. For the people of Bali in Indonesia, members of this fascinating family of bioluminescent beetles are a beloved sight, as the insects are believed to contain spiritual energy and be a guiding light for lost souls. However, they are also relied on as bioindicators, a key sign of a healthy natural ecosystem, because of their sensitivity to pollution. Major threats contributing to their decline include the degradation and loss of habitats necessary to sustain their entire life cycle, pesticide exposure and light pollution that disrupts their courtship communication. For Wayan Wardika, fond memories of dancing with fireflies as a child propelled him to create Bring Back the Light, Indonesia’s only firefly conservation lab focused on their breeding. From the lab in the heart of the jungle, Wardika and his team of dedicated biologists study the fireflies in nature and under the microscope in the hope of tackling knowledge gaps about the firefly population and biodiversity in Indonesia. Not only do they work to repopulate the fireflies, but they also improve the habitats in which the insects are to be released by forging partnerships with the local Taro Village community educating and promoting sustainable farming practices to protect the balance of nature. Armand Maulana - Rerata (OST. Jalan Yang Jauh Jangan Lupa Pulang) | Official Music Video Setelah sekian lama tak menciptakan lagu untuk GIGI maupun diri sendiri, Armand Maulana kembali lewat single terbarunya yang bertajuk “Rerata”. Lagu ini tercipta berdasarkan apa yang dilihat dan dirasakan Armand Maulana terhadap anak-anak yang hidup di masa sekarang, yakni betapa rentannya mental mereka terhadap kehidupan. Tentunya, pernyataan Armand Maulana tersebut didasari atas pengalaman pribadinya. Banyak kemungkinan yang muncul di kepalanya, salah satunya: Apakah kerentanan itu dikarenakan mereka lahir di dunia yang sudah canggih teknologinya, dan itu membuat mereka lebih memilih untuk bergaul lewat media sosial? Hingga akhirnya, mereka lupa bagaimana caranya berinteraksi dengan orang-orang di dunia nyata dan menjadi rentan? Nyatanya, rasa bahagia, jatuh cinta, benci, sedih, dan sebagainya akan terjadi pada setiap orang, bahkan secara berulang kali. Hal-hal itu lumrah, namanya juga kehidupan. Itulah “Rerata”. Selain menjadi single baru Armand Maulana, “Rerata” juga menjadi original soundtrack (OST) film besutan sutradara Angga Dwimas Sasongko, “Jalan yang Jauh Jangan Lupa Pulang” (JJJLP). Awalnya, Armand Maulana hanya ingin Angga Dwimas Sasongko menggarap video musik “Rerata”. Namun, Angga Dwimas Sasongko tidak menyanggupi karena ia akan menjalani shooting film di London, Inggris. Meski demikian, Angga Dwimas Sasongko penasaran dengan “Rerata” dan Armand Maulana pun memperdengarkannya. “Setelah mendengarkan, Angga Dwimas Sasongko meminta agar “Rerata” menjadi salah satu original soundtrack film yang tengah ia garap, yaitu “Jalan yang Jauh Jangan Lupa Pulang” (Visinema). Katanya, lagu tersebut cocok dengan satu adegan penting dalam filmnya. Meski Angga Dwimas Sasongko tak bisa menggarap video klip “Rerata”, ia memercayakan Bobby Zarkasih, sosok yang kerap mengabadikan behind the scenes film-filmnya, untuk menggantikan perannya dan saya pun setuju. Lokasi shooting-nya di London dan konsepnya bercerita tentang orang-orang yang meninggalkan keluarganya untuk sekolah, bekerja, hingga mengejar mimpi. Istri dan putri saya pun turut menjadi modelnya,” ucap Armand Maulana. Armand Maulana berharap, “Rerata” dapat menjadi teman bagi orang-orang yang tengah merasa sulit menjalani kehidupan. “Saya ingin semua orang tahu, terutama bagi mereka yang butuh healing atau tengah mengalami masalah, semua hal yang terjadi dalam hidup sifatnya berulang dan itu lazim. Terimalah karena itu adalah karunia agar kita jadi lebih kuat dan tahu harus bagaimana menghadapi sesuatu,” kata Armand Maulana. Trinity Optima Production (TOP) selaku label yang menaungi proyek solo Armand Maulana menyatakan kepuasannya pada lagu “Rerata”. “Armand Maulana berhasil memberikan sentuhan khas miliknya pada lagu ini, tidak lupa dengan permainan kata apik dan penuh makna pada liriknya. Setiap kata dalam lagu ini sifatnya multi-interpretasi dan memberikan pesan yang berbeda-beda di setiap orang. Saya rasa lagu ini sangat cocok untuk didengarkan pada berbagai momen kehidupan. With documentary makers of Asa Film, we've been working on a series of 25-minute films entitled Tradition Keepers about the communities Threads of Life has worked with. These tradition keepers’ stories of personal challenge and cultural survival go beneath the surface of Indonesia’s textile arts into a world of rituals and ancestors, cosmology and mythology, & social and ecological wisdom. Central to Threads of Life’s work with over 1000 weavers on 12 islands across Indonesia has been 15 years of field research studying, documenting, testing, and teaching the archipelago’s natural dye traditions.
